It is high time we should have been mugging up the spectrum series for our final examinations. But, lately my friends are interested in another spectrum. No, they don’t care a damn about the visible spectrum. They were discussing about the corruption involved around the 2G spectrum allocation. My once-a-blue moon surfing of the site Wall Street Journal and my greatest source of information, my facebook updates gave me some what idea of what happened. The scam gave tough time to media counting the number of zeros involved (We Indians are proud about zero aren’t we?)

Few of my friend’s updates are so hostile that A. Raja would voluntarily kill himself before entering any probe. I found one thing in common among them. They all are NRIs. I don’t know if the flame of patriotism kindles when you are away from a nation, trying to get a green card. One particular guy, who was on my friend’s friend list was so furious that he wanted all the Reliance companies to be fucked as he found out that Reliance was one of the core companies involved in 2G spectrum scandal. Well, let his wish be granted. Let us all fuck Reliance. Then what?

One Mr. Prasnth Agarwal of WSJ-India wrote: “With that kind of money we could have

–Food for every destitute Indian for the next decade. Not this year, not next year, but for the next 10 years.

–Funding of the flagship employment program for India’s marginalized for the next five years. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme provides any Indian with employment for 100 days at a wage rate of 100 rupees.

–Primary schooling for every Indian girl for the next three years.

–Ten squadrons of new aircraft, an aircraft carrier group, and a couple hundred tanks. Take that, China.

–The reduction in every Indian’s tax rate by 15% for the next year, or the reduction of India’s outstanding debt by 10%.”

Well said Sir! Now that we looked at the problem, where was the solution? We can discuss how these culprits like Raja, Kalmadi, Chavan should be punished. But does that lead us anywhere? Will that stop the politicians plundering us? Why are we talking about the politicians? We do everything in our hands to bypass law, avoid paying nickels and dimes to the Income Tax Dept. Are you sure you are corruption free? Are you 100% sure your dad is? We all have the latent potential of being corrupt. They had their chance and we still haven’t had ours.

If you check out any scam, they will just deny all the allegations. Even if there is a probe, it will get up scapegoats like kalmadi and A.Raja. Are these two guys solely responsible for the entire scam? I don’t think so. The people here really don’t care. The people who care are away, standing in a Queue in an American embassy in your vicinity.

P.s: There are a trillion mistakes in here. But the point I wanted to say is... Read and forget. Don't feel it. If you don't agree with me, let it be, I don't even feel sorry for you.
